Today I was digging for some info on ‘Nissan 280ZX’ and came across the following paragraph:
A line of affordable Nissan sports cars soon carried the Fair Lady moniker (which was later spelt as Fairlady) … So along the way, the Fairlady Z name was reserved for the Japanese market but the rest of the world knew the sports car by its three-digit classification such as 2 40Z, 280ZX and 300ZX….
Hmmm, I have too look further into that for my Cars blog.
